Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of Demonstration Enterprises for Green Product Design in the Industrial Sector (4th Batch), and Wanxiang Qianchao Co., Ltd. was selected. Wanxiang Qianchao has thus become a green design demonstration enterprise recognized by the Ministry—one with a solid foundation in green design, strong innovation capabilities, high-level green product manufacturing, and significant brand and market influence. This signifies that the company has reached a new milestone in accelerating the implementation of green product design and promoting green, low-carbon development in the industrial sector.

Guided by the "Dual Carbon" policy, green production and low-carbon environmental protection have become indispensable steps for the manufacturing industry's transformation and upgrading. As early as 2019, Wanxiang Qianchao released a green, low-carbon, and circular development strategy, integrating green design principles and low-carbon development requirements into its corporate development plans. The company is committed to becoming a provider of green and low-carbon design and manufacturing technology solutions, as well as a supplier of green products in the automotive components sector. In recent years, the company has received special funding support from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for green manufacturing system integration projects. Wanxiang Systems has been recognized as a national-level green factory, and together with the Beijing Eco-Design and Green Manufacturing Promotion Association, it has published the "Blue Book on Eco-Design and Green Growth in the Automotive Components Industry," playing a leading and exemplary role in promoting the industry's green, low-carbon, and circular development.

01 Green Design

In the area of green design, the company fully leverages its qualifications as a national-level enterprise technology center, a national postdoctoral research workstation, and a national demonstration enterprise for intellectual property rights—among other science and technology innovation platforms. Employing lifecycle assessment methodologies, the company conducts energy-efficient design, low-carbon design, and lightweight design for its products. It has also developed a digital service platform for product lifecycle assessment and a foundational database of green design information. The company’s newly developed series of products—including long-life universal joints and lightweight transmission shafts—have undergone testing and evaluation by the National Engineering Laboratory and fully meet green product standards. In recent years, the company has completed life-cycle assessments (LCAs) and carbon footprint analyses for a variety of products, such as “aluminum alloy subframes” and “universal joints.”

02 Green Manufacturing

In the realm of green manufacturing, we are promoting the deep integration of greening, digitalization, and intelligent technologies. We adopt green manufacturing and processing technologies characterized by low energy consumption, short production processes, and high efficiency and precision, thereby reducing the use of hazardous substances while enhancing the efficiency of resource and energy utilization. We have established intelligent, automated control systems—including MDM, SAP, online monitoring and early warning systems for energy consumption and pollutant emissions—enabling the application of key common technologies such as the integrated assembly process for green products (EPB-ECU) and SMT production line processes. This approach is driving the construction of a comprehensive green product supply chain system and fostering green, collaborative upgrades across the entire industrial and supply chains.

03 Green Standards

In terms of green standards, the company has spearheaded and participated in the development of 3 international standards, 13 national standards, 30 industry standards, 3 Zhejiang Manufacturing Standards, and 3 group standards. The Standardization Technical Committee has taken on the roles of secretariat unit for 3 organizations and member unit for 10 organizations. In 2020, the company led the formulation of two group standards: "Technical Specification for Evaluation of Green Design Products—Cast Aluminum Alloy Subframe" and "Technical Specification for Evaluation of Green Design Products—Electronic Parking Brake Caliper Assembly." These standards have advanced the green management of the product lifecycle for automotive components and have played a crucial role in promoting the standardization of green products and building a systematic green manufacturing framework.

04 Green Production and Sales

In the area of green production and sales, the company’s more than ten green products—including heavy-duty long-life universal joints, medium- and light-duty precision universal joints, low-friction, high-sealing hub bearing units, long-life, high-performance tapered hub bearing units, lightweight transmission shafts for automobiles, low-vibration, large-angle, high-efficiency constant-velocity drive shafts, electronic parking brakes, aluminum alloy subframes, tapered roller bearings, and high-speed deep-groove ball bearings—have earned widespread market recognition and unanimous acclaim. The company’s market share ranks among the top in China.
