Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the list of companies selected for the 2025 Jiangsu Provincial Green Factories and Green Industrial Parks. Wanxiang Jinggong Jiangsu Co., Ltd. was recognized as a Jiangsu Provincial Green Factory.
Wanxiang Jinggong Jiangsu Co., Ltd. primarily develops and manufactures automotive components such as wheel hub bearing units, supplying a wide range of mainstream domestic and international automakers. The company is firmly committed to pursuing a path of green development, implementing green intelligent manufacturing through a combination of measures including eco-design, cleaner production, energy conservation and emission reduction, and technological upgrades aimed at cost reduction.

PART 01
Ecological Design and Intelligent Manufacturing Promote Each Other in a Synergistic Way
The company integrates the concept of green development throughout the entire product lifecycle, placing great emphasis on eco-friendly design applications and R&D. Its green performance—such as high-performance, lightweight, low-friction automotive hub bearings—stands at the forefront of the domestic industry. The company actively explores optimization of design structures and innovation in manufacturing processes, achieving resource conservation and energy efficiency improvements from the very outset. For example, it has refined the machining processes for the outer ring/flange flanges to reduce product weight, and adopted a normalized heat treatment technique using the residual heat from forging to cut down on electricity consumption.
In the field of intelligent manufacturing, the company has built an advanced-level smart factory in Jiangsu Province, where all processes on the production line have been智能化 (intelligently automated). Under the same production volume, the factory can save 1.45 million kWh of electricity annually, correspondingly reducing greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 760 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, thereby achieving a dual enhancement of production efficiency and environmental performance.

Deep integration of green energy and clean production
The company is actively building a low-carbon energy system by leveraging rooftop resources at its facilities to progressively develop photovoltaic power generation projects, complemented by high-efficiency inverters and step-up transformers, thereby creating an intelligent microgrid system. This system generates 3.6 million kWh of electricity annually and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 2,090 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. To further enhance energy utilization efficiency, the company has also installed a 400-kW energy storage facility that enables “charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak hours.” The facility undergoes about 350,000 kWh of charging and discharging annually, resulting in annual electricity cost savings of roughly 190,000 yuan.
Cleaner production is an effective approach to energy conservation and emission reduction. Over the past year, the company implemented 11 low- or zero-cost cleaner production initiatives and 2 medium- or high-cost initiatives, resulting in annual savings of 8,000 kWh of electricity (per unit of energy consumption), 600 tons of water, and 1.5 million kWh of purchased electricity. The cumulative cost reductions amounted to approximately 1.8 million yuan, and carbon dioxide emissions were reduced by 874.6 tons per year, yielding significant environmental and economic benefits.

Joint Construction of a Resource Circulation and Management System
In terms of waste resource utilization, over the past year, the company achieved a comprehensive solid waste utilization rate as high as 93.14%. Traditionally, cutting fluids, after single use, were treated as hazardous waste. However, the company has implemented a centralized supply and recycling system for cutting fluids. After proper treatment, these fluids are reused, saving more than 20 tons of cutting fluid annually.
In terms of management systems, the company has been certified and established an integrated management framework encompassing multiple standards, including IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001. This framework has created a “green” management system that covers quality, environment, energy, and occupational health and safety. This systematic management foundation ensures the standardized and sustained advancement of green operations, providing institutional guarantees for the company’s green development.
Green development is not a multiple-choice question—it’s a mandatory task that determines the future of sustainable development. Currently, Wanxiang operates one national-level green factory (Wanxiang Zhizao Co., Ltd.) and seven provincial-level green factories (Wanxiang Qianchao Co., Ltd., Qianchao Zhizao (Shishou) Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Wanxiang Precision Engineering Co., Ltd., Wanxiang Precision Engineering Jiangsu Co., Ltd., Qianchao Senwei Co., Ltd., Wanxiang (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., and Chengde Luloo Co., Ltd.). Each of these companies will continue to focus on technological innovation, working in synergy to drive process upgrades and improve energy efficiency, systematically promoting carbon reduction, pollution control, greening, and growth. With more concrete actions, they will deliver a solid “green answer sheet,” making intelligent manufacturing greener and more robust.
