Strengthening Safety Production Responsibilities and Enhancing Safety Assurance Capabilities | Wanxiang Qianchao Holds a Safety Conference

Recently, Wanxiang Qianchao organized and held its 2023 Safety Conference. The conference focused on the Board of Directors’ instruction to “never repeat the same mistake” in safety incidents, and in accordance with the "Wanxiang Qianchao Safety Management System," it rigorously implemented the responsibility system for safe production and formulated measures and carried out rectifications specifically targeting the pain points and difficulties in safety work.
The meeting summarized the "Safety Production Month" activities: During the campaign, each company, based on its actual situation and in accordance with Wanxiang Qianchao’s unified requirements, carried out various tasks related to the "Safety Production Month." Through a series of activities such as the "Five Leadership Initiatives" and the "Five One Initiatives," the campaign enhanced employees' sense of responsibility for safety production, improved their ability to respond promptly to unexpected safety incidents, eliminated potential safety hazards, fostered a safety production culture, and created a positive working environment for safety production.
The meeting announced the results of the 2022-2023 “Safety Management Award” presented by Wanxiang Qianchao: Four companies, including Huainan Bearing, and five work teams, including the Stamping Section of Tongda Company, were awarded the “Advanced Safety Collective Award”; ten individuals, including Liu Tao from Tongda Genuol Branch, were awarded the “Advanced Safety Worker Award.” Representatives from the Advanced Safety Collectives, Jinggong Company, and from the Advanced Individuals, Zhang Yongjiang, shared their experiences.
The meeting proposed strengthening safety training and education for employees. By conducting extensive training based on real-life accident case studies, we can enhance employees’ safety awareness and standardize their daily operational practices. At the same time, we must further improve the identification and control of safety risks in production areas, conducting risk assessments of all employees’ operational procedures to eliminate potential hazards. Based on the key risks identified in each production area, we should develop safety inspection guidelines applicable at all levels—from department managers to team leaders—and establish standardized safety checklists. We also need to set forth tiered review criteria for safety inspections, ensuring that managers at all levels refer to these checklists during inspections, thereby achieving comprehensive, all-encompassing safety checks with no blind spots and firmly enforcing safety responsibilities at every level of production.
The meeting reviewed video cases of robot-related accidents to remind all companies to pay close attention to potential safety hazards associated with various types of robots right from the source and to eliminate any complacency. The meeting urged general managers of each company to clearly define safety responsibilities at all levels, designate specific individuals accountable for these responsibilities, and establish a clear system of responsibility at each level. Safety and environmental protection officers in each company are required to hold daily on-site safety meetings, while general managers should convene regular safety meetings. In light of the special circumstances surrounding this year’s Asian Games in the Hangzhou region, the meeting emphasized that all companies should plan ahead and prepare comprehensive emergency response plans for the duration of the Games, ensuring stable market supply and demand and meeting customer needs. The meeting also stressed that companies must develop detailed contingency plans for periods of extreme heat and typhoons, safeguarding employees’ health and ensuring safe production. On the path toward continuous safety improvement, there is no end to the journey. The meeting outlined the key tasks for the next phase of safety work.
