Recently, the DL382 line of Class A in the Precision Engineering Department of Jiangsu Senwei was awarded the title of “Youth Civilization Unit” at the municipal level in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province for the 2020-2021 period.

The “Youth Civilization Unit” initiative is an important component of the Youth Civilization Project launched by the Communist Youth League to support the overall work of the Party and the nation. It is also a vital part of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization. The aim is to guide young people in promoting sound professional ethics, achieving first-class work performance, and contributing to the advancement of economic and social development. This time, Class A, DL382 Line, of the Jiangsu Senwei Precision Manufacturing Department has been awarded this honor, once again highlighting the professionalism and dynamism of the company’s young employees.

The DL382 line in Team A of the Jiangsu Senwei Precision Engineering Department is a young team with an average age of just 29. They are courageous and resourceful, boldly innovative, and have ensured the smooth and efficient operation of the DL382 line. Zhao Jieyang, Manager of the Precision Engineering Department, said: “This production line is our company’s flagship line. Thanks to the efforts of our young employees, the line’s performance indicators have consistently improved, achieving many outstanding results.”

Starting from the beginning of 2020, Team A’s DL382 line has made a series of optimizations focused on controlling key production processes. Led by team leader Hu Guoping, the team has streamlined the process procedures, with active participation from all frontline employees who have been discussing production details and communicating closely with technicians about critical steps. Everyone—from top management to frontline workers—has worked in unison, setting phased production targets and devising optimization plans. Based on optimizing the allocation of production-line personnel, they have steadily improved the production rhythm and broken new records for the highest single-shift output. “Thanks to the tireless efforts of our team members day and night, the quenching output of DL382’s 355 product has now surpassed 480 units per shift and reached as high as 600 units per shift, representing a 25% increase in efficiency,” said team leader Hu Guoping with satisfaction.

Outstanding achievements are inseparable from the dedication of every single member. The DL382 line in Class A boasts many outstanding employees who are highly skilled and committed to selfless service. Xu Haifeng, a key member of the team, has independently explored and adjusted the parameters of the straightening machine, successfully resolving a long-standing issue that had plagued production. As a result, the pass rate for product straightening has risen to 100%. Zhu Xuesong, an expert operator in the large-end machining process, can handle the production tasks of eight machine tools all by himself. His proposed optimization solutions have boosted the production efficiency of the DL382 line by nearly 7%. Lu Zhongzhi is a master operator in the precision grinding process; he has continuously broken the historical production records for the outer-cylinder grinding operation of two varieties of DL382 flange shafts, pushing output beyond 1,000 units per shift. Under the leadership of these exceptional core members and skilled operators, the DL382 line in Class A is brimming with vitality. New employees, immersed in an atmosphere of collective brainstorming and collaborative advancement, quickly get up to speed. When problems arise, the team members promptly adjust their roles and work closely together, ensuring the smooth operation of the production line.

On Line DL382 in Class A, there’s also a long-standing, informal rule: Every Monday, team members arrive at the workshop 15 minutes early to hold a small-team meeting. During this meeting, they discuss shortcomings from the previous week’s work and outline key tasks for the coming week. After Hu Guoping took on the role of team leader, this rule continued to be observed, and the report content was expanded to include updates on safety, 5S practices, and equipment conditions. Every week, Line DL382 in Class A conducts safety inspections, and all personnel strictly adhere to the equipment safety operating procedures. In addition, regular team-level safety training sessions are held, ensuring that there are zero safety incidents throughout the year—and thus making the content of these reports truly actionable and effective.

Since 2020, six employees on Production Line DL382 of Class A have been awarded the company’s “Monthly Star” title, and seven employees have been recognized as the company’s “Quality Pioneers.” The pass rate for new employees’ formalization assessments has reached 100%, and the completion rate for quality tiered audits has also been 100%. In the 2020 annual quality assessment, the line received an “Excellent” rating and has consistently maintained outstanding performance among production teams in the Precision Engineering Department.
