On July 8, Wanxiang held a banquet to celebrate the 57th anniversary of its founding. Lu Weiding, Chairman and CEO of Wanxiang, delivered a speech.
The speech reviewed Wanxiang’s history of innovative development across ten dimensions—from products, quality, labor practices, markets, and ideological and political education to restructuring, industries, technology, manufacturing processes, and digital intelligence—and suggested that every time of innovation is a life-or-death breakthrough, and every breakthrough is a self-revolution. It then reflected on the current situation where organizational inertia is strong and innovation efforts lack momentum, and proposed this ‘no innovation, no Wanxiang’ slogan to all the attendees. It is imperative to shift from ‘investing in capital’ to ‘investing in knowledge’, clarifying four key directions: investing in people with out-of-the-box ideas, investing in the fertile ground for grassroots innovation, treating investment in people as decisive factor, and investing in true value. Furthermore, by leveraging five categories of value-driven innovation—disruptive innovation, breakthrough innovation, systemic innovation, breakthrough-level innovation, and micro-innovation—the speech mobilizes all Wanxiang employees across all positions to innovate around the clock.
Speech emphasized that, as Wanxiang marks its 60th anniversary, it must possess the resolve, spirit, and strength to innovate. With more than 60 years of history, Wanxiang calls for people who dare to innovate—those with the determination to challenge the status quo, the courage to start anew from scratch, and the drive to defy the odds and change their destiny!
The meeting was chaired by Shen Zhijun, a member of the Board of Directors of Wanxiang Group, and the Group’s Financial Management Department presented a report on the first half of 2026’s business performance. Sheng Shuhao of Shunfa Hengneng spoke on behalf of the managers, sharing the company’s tangible achievements over the past year in ensuring energy supply, workplace safety, major energy projects, new power business initiatives, and talent development. He stated that the company would continue to strengthen and optimize its core clean energy business to provide green momentum for the Group’s high-quality development.
The meeting called on all companies and employees to study and implement the spirit of the chairman’s speech, to take concrete and innovative measures in their daily work, and to write a new chapter through pioneering and enterprising efforts.
