On December 6, local time, the Chinese Embassy in the United States hosted a thematic event on cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Chinese and American youth. Ambassador Xie Feng attended the event and delivered a speech. Ni Pin, President of Wanxiang America Corporation, was invited to attend and, on behalf of Wanxiang, announced a five-year support plan for China-U.S. youth exchanges—the Future Wanxiang Fund (U.S.). This initiative marks another new project by Wanxiang aimed at promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Chinese and American youth, following the “100,000 Strong in China-U.S. Exchange” program.

More than 300 people attended the event, including embassy officials, U.S. teachers and students who are visiting China this year for exchange and study, as well as friendly figures from various sectors in both China and the United States.
Last November, President Xi Jinping announced the “5-Year, 50,000” initiative in San Francisco—“Over the next five years, we are willing to invite 50,000 American teenagers to China for exchanges and study.” To this end, the Chinese side has specially established the “U.S. Youth Ambassadors Exchange and Study Program,” known as the YES Program. Xie Feng pointed out that over the past few years, people-to-people exchanges between young people from our two countries have faced headwinds andagainst the current; yet, thanks to the joint efforts of both sides, we’ve still heard many encouraging and positive developments. We should continue to remove obstacles, break through the “chilling effect,” oppose reversing the course of history, and move forward together in solidarity, paving the way and building bridges for cultural and people-to-people exchanges between our two countries, ensuring that the vital source of China-U.S. relations keeps flowing endlessly. He called on all of us: Let’s say YES to China-U.S. cooperation and exchange, YES to friendship between the peoples of China and the U.S., and YES to a bright future for the youth of both countries!

Ni Pin, representing Wanxiang, announced a five-year support plan for youth exchanges between China and the United States and delivered a speech.
In the next five years, Wanxiang Fund (USA) will fund 1,000 U.S. students to study and exchange in China. In his speech, Ni Pin expressed that Wanxiang is delighted to participate in this project, building bridges for our next generation. Their future should be full of hope, brimming with opportunities, and bathed in sunshine. Today, we’re merely planting a tiny seed—but if everyone joins forces, this seed will surely grow into a towering tree. A single drop of water may seem insignificant, but when combined, they form a mighty river that can sweep away all difficulties and obstacles!
