On January 6, a symposium for Wanxiang Qianchao’s doctoral researchers was held at the group’s headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Chairman Lu Weiding, and attended by doctoral representatives from Wanxiang Group’s headquarters, Wanxiang Qianchao, Wanxiang 123, and other entities based in Hangzhou. Drawing on their respective positions, the doctoral researchers freely shared their insights on industry trends, corporate development, and work experiences, and exchanged views on cutting-edge and advanced technologies in the industry. They also engaged in active discussions on integrating artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies with technical research, production, and operations. Lu Weiding listened carefully, interacted deeply with everyone, and offered both encouragement and specific expectations and requirements.
Lu Weiding pointed out that a single doctoral researcher represents an entire team. As leaders of Wanxiang’s technology professionals, he hopes that these doctoral researchers will cultivate a holistic perspective and put their passions and expertise into practical application. They should play an even greater and more effective role in cutting-edge research, technological breakthroughs, applied manufacturing, business management, and strategic planning—thus driving enterprise development and social progress while achieving their own growth through solving real-world problems.

The annual symposium for doctoral researchers, organized by the Group’s Board of Directors, has become known as the “first meeting of the new year.” The doctoral researchers expressed that their colleagues’ inspiring presentations have broadened their horizons, and the Group’s strong commitment to technology and respect for talent are truly encouraging. The attending doctoral researchers evaluated the projects nominated for the 2024 Wanxiang Annual Science and Technology Award.
Shen Zhijun, a director of the Wanxiang Group’s Board of Directors, along with heads of Wanxiang Qianchao, Wanxiang 123, and relevant departments of the Group, attended the symposium.
