On July 1, the Party Committee of Wanxiang Group held a commendation conference celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the "Wanxiang Enterprises July 1st Party Lecture." Party members and cadres gathered together to commend outstanding achievers and study the Party's spirit. Lu Weiding, Secretary of the Group's Party Committee and Chairman of the Board, delivered a special lecture titled "Anchoring the Value Yardstick, Forging the Future through Concrete Action." Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Guan Dayuan presided over the conference.

The company follows the Party's lead, upholds its banner, and places Party building at the core. It actively promotes the spirit of Lu Guanzhang, maintains self-confidence and self-reliance, upholds integrity and innovation, and has achieved new progress in both material and spiritual civilization. A number of outstanding Communist Party members and outstanding Party affairs workers with remarkable performance, as well as advanced primary-level Party organizations with strong business results and solid Party building, have come to the fore. On the occasion of celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, in order to set exemplary models, commend and encourage pioneers in creation, innovation, and entrepreneurship, fully awaken the sense of ownership, and mobilize the initiative and creativity of Party organizations at all levels and Party members, the Group's Party Committee decided to confer the title of "Outstanding Communist Party Member" on 56 comrades including Yu Lei and Wang Feichao; the title of "Outstanding Party Affairs Worker" on 7 comrades including Ma Hairong and Wang Kun; and the title of "Advanced Primary-Level Party Organization" on 5 Party organizations including the Party Branch of the Board of Directors Office of Wanxiang Group and the Party Branch of Shunfa Hengneng.

In his special lecture, Lu Weiding closely followed the Party-wide education requirement of "establishing and practicing a correct view on political achievements." Grounded in the current industrial transformation environment and Wanxiang's operational realities, he clearly put forward the core proposition of "real value," namely: "Measure performance by value, and carry value through performance." This encompasses both the persistent pursuit of "performance" and the unwavering adherence to the bottom line of "value."

What kind of genuine value does Wanxiang champion? Lu Weiding emphasized that Wanxiang’s founder spent a lifetime embodying and steadfastly upholding the most humble, hands‑on ethos, thereby bequeathing to the company a cultural DNA rooted in the creation of real value. Creating genuine value is grounded in a broad‑minded vision and acting in harmony with prevailing trends; the overarching principle of “walking the middle path and fostering harmony, serving the nation through industry” forms its foundational spirit. At its core, creating genuine value means pursuing truth and pragmatism while eschewing empty rhetoric—“perseverance over time and pragmatic enterprise” is its true character. And at its heart lies a commitment to co‑creation and shared benefits, to enriching society: “cultivating virtue and forging resolve, striving for universal prosperity”—this is the enduring substance that defines its true worth.

What kind of real value does Wanxiang advocate? Lu Weiding emphasized that Wanxiang's founder, throughout his life, steadfastly upheld the most simple belief in practical action, leaving Wanxiang with a cultural gene for creating real value. Creating real value is rooted in keeping the bigger picture in mind and acting in line with the times – the great value of "pursuing harmony and serving the country through industry" forms its foundation. Creating real value is essentially about seeking truth and being pragmatic, avoiding empty formalism – the true value of "persistent effort and building the industry through solid work" forms its essence. Creating real value is, at its heart, about co-creation, sharing, and benefiting society – the hard value of "great virtue, perseverance, and shared prosperity" forms its distinguishing quality.

Lu Weiding pointed out that during this critical period of intergenerational transition and the shift from old to new growth drivers, all Party members and cadres must remain vigilant against a series of value deviations, such as equating "good-looking reports" with "real performance," prioritizing "shortterm visible achievements" over "longterm substantive results," and confusing "busyness on the surface" with "actual onthejob effectiveness." He called for recalibrating the ideological yardstick and creating real value by adopting a resultsoriented approach that seeks truth and pragmatism, by building longterm capabilities with steady and farreaching efforts, and by fostering a mindset of getting things done through solid action.

Lu Weiding emphasized that the answer to Wanxiang's future success lies not in thinking or talking, but in doing – and in delivering on what we say! The core of real value is "aligning ambition with action, and action with ambition" – that is, staying consistently on course with the direction and values we have identified, and following established goals and plans until tangible results are achieved. The essence of real value is "authenticity." We must carry forward the corporate spirit of "speaking truthfully, doing solid work, thinking deeply, and solving problems effectively," and uphold the practical standard of "executives truly engaging their minds, Party members truly setting an example, and all employees truly putting in the work."

Lu Weiding called on all Party members and cadres to make real value the primary criterion in cadre selection, performance evaluation, commendation, and compensation distribution. When making decisions and carrying out work on a daily basis, everyone should identify gaps in their thinking, make up for shortcomings in practice, and deliver genuine performance and real achievements that can withstand market tests, endure through development cycles, and earn the recognition of all employees. This will lay a solid foundation for Wanxiang's cause and resolutely open up a new chapter of highquality development for Wanxiang!

The meeting called on all Party branches to promptly organize special study and discussion sessions, to deeply study and comprehend the spirit of the Party lecture, closely align with the core yardstick of "real value," regularly selfexamine and selfcorrect various value deviations, downtoearth create real performance, and establish an incentive orientation that encourages dedicated and hardworking achievers. The meeting also called for steering the Group's highquality development through highquality Party building. Party organizations at all levels, Party members, and Party affairs workers should take the advanced models as examples, fully leverage their roles as bastions and pioneers, adhere to the principle of putting Wanxiang's cause first and respecting those who strive for it, practice the spirit of Lu Guanzhang and the mission of "making the air fresher," and continuously carry out "one study," "two actions," and "three innovations." They should press forward with "adding a city through ten years of struggle" as a continuation of "adding a zero through ten years of struggle," develop modern industries with new quality productive forces, plan and build the Innovation Energy City, and contribute Wanxiang's strength to advancing Chinese modernization!
