Another National Honor! WXQC won the 26th China Patent Award with its cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation achievement

Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration announced the results of the 26th China Patent Awards. Wanxiang Qianchao Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as WXQC)’s invention patent, ‘An Oil Seal for a Universal Joint, a Cross-Shaft Assembly, and a Universal Joint’, was selected to receive the 26th China Patent Excellence Award. This marks yet another significant achievement for WXQC as it deepens its focus on key technologies for core automotive components and continues to advance the development of high-value intellectual property.

This patent focuses on the sealing reliability and structural compatibility requirements of universal joints under complex operating conditions, achieving three major technical breakthroughs: First, it introduces an innovative multi-lip seal and contour-following contact structure to establish a dual-protection system of ‘primary seal + secondary seal’, significantly enhancing resistance to mud, water, and dust. Second, it optimizes the contact profile between the cross shaft diameter and the needle roller bearing to ensure a more uniform stress distribution, thereby substantially improving load-bearing capacity and extending its lifespan on fatigue resistance. Third, it establishes a systematic, coordinated solution involving the “oil seal—cross shaft—bearing” system, comprehensively enhancing the durability and operational adaptability of the transmission components.
