Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing Assembly Team: Bearing the Responsibility for Quality, Tackling Challenges to Boost Production Growth

“Plant one grain of millet in spring, and reap ten thousand seeds in autumn.” At the beginning of the year, Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing proactively laid out its plans, and now, as the golden autumn arrives, it’s reaping abundant rewards. In July, Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing produced a total of 311,000 assemblies; in August, production reached 347,000 assemblies; and in September, output surged to 380,500 assemblies. Overall assembly production increased by 34.45% year-on-year, breaking previous records and achieving a new milestone.
“No excuses—this goal is simply non-negotiable.” As the benchmark factory of Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing, Factory No. 3 currently has four assembly lines. When the new production line was first set up, there were numerous operational challenges. As the saying goes, “A blade sharpens itself by being honed against things; a person hones their skills through experience.” To ensure high-quality and timely completion of production tasks, Wang Liang, the assembly team leader at Factory No. 3, arrives at work earliest every day and leaves latest. He exchanges insights on operational procedures with equipment manufacturers, shares management experiences with Wang Liangliang, the assembly team leader at Factory No. 5, and even stays up late into the night to meticulously organize his daily learnings into notes. Today, faced with intricate processes and sophisticated equipment, he has mastered both the underlying principles and the operational procedures inside and out. “Feel free to ask me any questions,” he says confidently. It’s precisely this confidence that underpins the success of our recent push to boost production output.
In September, market orders surged, and delivery dates drew near—time was tight, tasks were heavy, and challenges were significant. The assembly team refused to delay; at their daily team meetings, members were urged to reflect on critical issues, focus on key tasks, and propose improvement suggestions. They embraced a strong sense of ownership and ensured that every task was carried out effectively. “Each of us is the ‘first person responsible’ for our respective production processes,” was a phrase that team leader Wang Liangliang often kept in mind. Coinciding with Quality Month, the team aimed to boost output, maintain high-quality standards, and launch competitive evaluations—all in pursuit of zero defects. Even during holidays, the assembly production lines remained fully operational. Employees from both factory workshops voluntarily worked overtime, while an MES dashboard provided real-time monitoring of production-line conditions. An intelligent automated warehouse handled material storage and retrieval automatically, and 5S management continuously optimized the work environment. With united efforts and unwavering commitment from top to bottom, the team achieved simultaneous improvements in both output and quality, presenting a heartfelt gift to celebrate the 75th anniversary of National Day.
In July, Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing achieved an output value of 88.6658 million yuan. In August, this figure rose to 98.1192 million yuan, and in September, it surpassed the 100-million-yuan mark, reaching 118.5818 million yuan. Looking ahead, Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing will continue to elevate its development further by accelerating process innovation, shifting management approaches, and optimizing planning and scheduling.
