2023-11-10
Wanxiang Jinggong is a demonstration enterprise recognized as a single-item champion in manufacturing. It has successively been awarded the titles of “Smart Factory” in Zhejiang Province and a pilot enterprise for “Future Factories” in Zhejiang Province. The company is building a 4.0-standard smart factory that emphasizes digitalization, intelligence, high-end innovation, green practices, and lean management. Through digital simulation and modeling design, an integrated intelligent production platform, the development of high-end and lightweight products, green manufacturing processes, and lean, digitalized management, the company is comprehensively promoting the construction of a green and low-carbon factory.
The company is vigorously promoting the construction of smart factories, achieving a 60% increase in labor productivity, a 50% boost in production capacity, and annual electricity savings of 1.4525 million kWh. Taking the certification under the Energy Management System as an opportunity, the company has established an energy management system with full coverage of energy consumption data collection, enhancing equipment efficiency by more than 10%. The entire plant now uses public utilities such as air compressors and refrigeration units with energy efficiency ratings of Level 2 or higher, phasing out outdated equipment. Measures including tiered air supply for air compressors, zone-specific lighting with energy-saving lamps, and automatic dimming have resulted in annual electricity savings of 356,000 kWh. Through a series of energy-saving initiatives, the company’s comprehensive energy consumption per unit of product in 2022 decreased by 12.8% compared to the previous year, placing it at a leading position in the industry.
The company boasts the industry’s first fully enclosed, automated heat treatment process, achieving a 50% increase in exhaust gas collection efficiency. It also employs the nation’s first centralized coolant supply and recovery system, reducing annual coolant consumption by more than 50 tons. Equipped with high-voltage electrostatic oil-smoke purifiers and an online VOCs monitoring system, the company ensures that 100% of its exhaust gases meet emission standards. Furthermore, it has constructed a comprehensive wastewater treatment plant featuring a demulsification + biochemical + MBR membrane reverse osmosis filtration system, with wastewater treatment and discharge indicators significantly exceeding national emission standards. Thanks to a series of pollution-reduction measures, the company’s per-unit-product pollutant emissions in 2022 decreased by 15.38% compared to the previous year.
The company actively responds to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction by building a green supply chain throughout the product lifecycle. Through initiatives such as establishing water-saving enterprises, promoting cleaner production practices, conducting greenhouse gas verification, performing energy-saving diagnostics, and calculating the carbon footprint of products across their entire lifecycle, the company reduced its per-unit product carbon emissions by 3.76% in 2022 compared to 2020 levels. The company aims to cut emissions by 50% by 2030 relative to the 2020 baseline year. Actively implementing energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures, the company plans to reduce annual CO₂ emissions by more than 2,000 tons. The company continues to pursue lightweighting research and development, reducing the weight of each unit product by approximately 9%, thereby saving nearly 5,000 tons of steel annually. Furthermore, the company is persistently advancing research on low-friction torque technologies, which not only extend product lifespans and reduce consumption of natural resources but also help lower carbon emissions accordingly.
Wanxiang Jinggong will continue to uphold its mission of “Making Air Fresher,” striving to set a benchmark for green and low-carbon manufacturing in the industry and contributing its due share to achieving carbon neutrality goals.
