Wanxiang Adds Another Provincial-Level Advanced Smart Factory

Following the inclusion of Wanxiang 123 Co., Ltd.’s “Smart Factory for Micro-Hybrid Power Battery Systems,” Zhejiang Wanxiang Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s “Smart Factory for High-End Intelligent Wheel Hub Bearing Units,” and Wanxiang Precision Jiangsu Co., Ltd.’s “Smart Manufacturing Factory for Automotive Wheel Hub Bearing Units” on the lists of advanced-level smart factories for 2025 in Zhejiang Province and Jiangsu Province, the Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology recently announced the list of advanced-level smart factories for 2025 in Hubei Province, which includes Wanxiang (Wuhan) Smart Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s “Smart Factory for Flexible Production of Wanxiang Automotive Brakes.”

Building on its existing production lines, Wuhan Wanxiang Intelligent Manufacturing has introduced equipment such as automated machining lines, semi-automatic flexible assembly lines, intelligent vertical warehouses, and AGV vehicles. At the same time, it has upgraded systems like SAP and MES, seamlessly integrating information flows across the entire process—from production and procurement to sales—thus achieving unified data management and business collaboration. The on-time order fulfillment rate has reached 100%, laying a solid hardware and information-system foundation for the construction of a smart factory.

To meet the demand for small-batch, multi-variety production, we are promoting flexible manufacturing by introducing high-precision machining centers and industrial robots, and integrating them with an MES system to enable rapid line switching. The machine tools are equipped with high-performance CNC systems that feature adaptive machining capabilities, automatically optimizing processes and enhancing machining accuracy. The assembly lines have been highly automated, reducing the workforce by 50% while boosting efficiency by 30%. The company plans to add intelligent vertical warehouses and AGV carts, leveraging automation, information technology, and intelligent technologies to achieve efficient and precise control over all stages—including inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, sorting, packaging, and distribution.
