Wanxiang Qianchao's Automotive Chassis Pilot Test Platform Selected for the First Batch of Nationally Key Cultivation List

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the first batch of nationally designated key pilot-scale platforms for cultivation. Wanxiang Qianchao’s automotive chassis parts pilot-scale platform was successfully selected thanks to its outstanding technological strength and industrialization service capabilities. This marks national recognition of its efforts and achievements in promoting the transformation of scientific and technological innovation results and upgrading the industry.

“Pilot-scale testing” refers to the trials conducted before a product is officially put into mass production. A “pilot-scale platform,” or pilot validation platform, facilitates the smooth transition of scientific research findings from the laboratory to the production line, ensuring product quality and feasibility. It serves as an important vehicle for continuously providing pilot-scale services, accelerating the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and enhancing the level of industrialization.

As one of the first batch of nationally designated key pilot-scale platforms, the Wanxiang Qianchao Automotive Chassis Components Pilot Platform has established a “1+N” laboratory architecture system centered on product performance testing, validation, design, and process optimization. It has already set up a headquarters laboratory and nine specialized product testing sub-centers. Fully leveraging the advantages of its pilot-scale platform, the company provides a wide range of testing services, with an annual testing volume of approximately 7,000 batches covering more than 200 test items. The platform has helped high-end products such as the “heavy-duty truck long-life maintenance-free universal joint” and the long-life maintenance-free transmission shaft earn the title of National Manufacturing Single Champion. The “heavy-duty truck long-life maintenance-free universal joint” was recognized as the country’s first-of-its-kind equipment. Additionally, the low-vibration, large-angle-rotation, high-efficiency constant-velocity drive shaft and the end-face-driven low-torque wheel hub bearing unit have both received Zhejiang Province’s first-of-its-kind equipment certification. The specially designed equipment independently modified and developed by the company has been widely recognized by many renowned users.

After more than 50 years of deep cultivation and accumulation, Wanxiang Qianchao has built strong technological support capabilities and standard-setting expertise. It has spearheaded and participated in the formulation of a total of 70 international, national, industry, and Zhejiang Manufacturing standards covering products such as universal joints, bearings, constant-velocity drive shafts, and brakes, thereby establishing a comprehensive standards system and technical service network. Taking this national-level certification as an opportunity, the company will further refine its pilot-scale service system, strengthen its platform operational capabilities, enhance the technological value and quality of its innovation outcomes, continuously promote breakthroughs in critical core technologies and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and inject Wanxiang’s momentum into the high-quality development of the manufacturing sector.
