On January 29, local time, the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago hosted a celebration event marking the Chinese New Year in Muscatine, Iowa, USA. Several friends from Iowa, including Sarah Lanti and Luca Bellon, attended the event. Ni Pin, President of Wanxiang America Corporation, was invited to participate. During the event, Ni Pin and Lanti signed a cooperation agreement for Wanxiang’s “100,000 Strong China-U.S.” initiative—also known as the “5-Year, 50,000 YES Project”—for 2025. Wang Baodong, Consul General of China in Chicago, witnessed the signing ceremony.

Ni Pin and Lanti jointly reviewed the history of Mascoutah City’s participation in Wanxiang’s “100,000 Strong in China-U.S. Exchange” program over the past decade, as well as its impact on the community. Lanti and community representatives expressed their gratitude to Wanxiang for its unwavering commitment to promoting people-to-people exchanges between China and the U.S., especially for its remarkable efforts in helping young American students get to know and understand China. In interviews with Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, and other media outlets, Lanti said that the China-U.S. youth exchange programs enable American teenagers to discover the diversity of China and the richness of Chinese culture. Such exchanges not only allow young people from both countries to become friends but also pave the way for them to become business partners. It is crucial to respect each other’s differences, learn from one another, remain curious, and find ways for the two nations to coexist peacefully.
