Wuhu Green Factory: Wuhu Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing

Qianchao Intelligent Manufacturing (Wuhu) Co., Ltd. specializes in constant-velocity drive shaft assemblies and has independently developed a variety of fixed and mobile joint types, offering customers a diversified product selection and aiming to become the world’s largest R&D and manufacturing base. The company has established a leading group for building a green factory, formulated green manufacturing management plans based on green development indicators, and set up a comprehensive green management system covering the entire process—from R&D and design to production, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics. The company is proactively building a “5G + Industrial Internet” factory ecosystem, having established 57 intelligent production lines with a 100% equipment connectivity rate and online monitoring of process parameters. Zhejiang Wanxiang Marelli Shock Absorber Co., Ltd. specializes in automotive shock absorbers and boasts strong technical capabilities and advanced production equipment. Its extensive product portfolio covers gasoline vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and new-energy vehicles, providing bulk supply to first-tier customers. The company places great emphasis on process innovation, pursuing green manufacturing practices that focus on energy conservation, material savings, emission reduction, efficiency enhancement, and quality improvement. In recent years, the company has continuously stepped up its R&D efforts, accelerating the development of green and low-carbon products and elevating the overall green and low-carbon level of its offerings. The company has established an intelligent management platform for energy “dual-carbon” goals, enabling rational energy use and improved energy efficiency while ensuring product quality, thus achieving information-based and digital-intelligent energy management. The company adheres to a sustainable development approach and actively implements green and low-carbon development principles. It integrates requirements for green, low-carbon, and digital-intelligent technologies throughout the entire process—from product design and equipment configuration to process settings, environmental control, supplier selection, and production management. The company is actively engaged in establishing green and low-carbon factories, having set up a comprehensive organizational management structure. It has incorporated medium- and long-term plans for green and low-carbon factories into its overall corporate development strategy and formulated annual targets and implementation plans for these factories. In the actual implementation of green and low-carbon factory construction, while ensuring product functionality, quality, and occupational health and safety of workers during the production process, the company introduces ecological design concepts, giving priority to green raw materials, processes, technologies, and equipment. Guided by the ISO system, the company actively promotes environmental management and greenhouse gas inventory and verification efforts. It employs specialized equipment that is highly efficient, precise, highly automated, and energy-saving; during production, it utilizes renewable energy sources, and raw materials are rigorously inspected to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Moreover, through process optimization and other measures, the company reduces pollutant emissions and conserves resources and energy from the very outset. The company is equipped with a large-scale photovoltaic power generation system, which generated 740,000 kWh of electricity in 2024, accounting for 27.75% of the building’s total energy consumption. By retrofitting the air compressor room to recover waste heat, the company is able to convert this waste heat into energy needed for production or daily life, further reducing energy consumption. Adhering to the corporate mission of building a resource-efficient and environmentally friendly enterprise, the company has thoroughly implemented energy consumption quota management, continuously promoted technological innovation, upgraded wastewater treatment facilities, and advanced the construction of circular economy projects—thus driving green development across all aspects of its operations. The company employs specialized production equipment that boasts high productivity and low energy consumption, and it has steadily carried out energy-saving upgrades on a series of key projects, achieving remarkable results. Qianchao Senwei places great emphasis on end-of-pipe waste management, integrating pollution control and prevention into every stage of the production process. Specifically, the company has built a dedicated wastewater treatment plant to ensure that treated effluent meets discharge standards. It has also established a cooling circulation system, with an annual water circulation volume of approximately 35,000 tons, achieving a water reuse rate of 36% in production. In terms of energy utilization, the company is vigorously promoting green energy projects.
