Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the list of Excellence-Level Smart Factory Projects for 2025, and Wanxiang Jinggong’s high-end smart wheel hub bearing unit smart factory was selected. This marks another prestigious national-level certification for Wanxiang Jinggong in intelligent manufacturing, following its earlier inclusion in the MIIT’s “2025 5G Factory Catalog.”
Starting from 2024, six government departments—the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Data Administration—will jointly launch the cultivation and certification of “Excellent-Level Smart Factories.” The goal is to establish a “three-in-one” working system encompassing smart factories, solution offerings, and a standardization framework, thereby creating an “upgraded version” of intelligent manufacturing. Excellent-Level Smart Factories are required to systematically deploy intelligent manufacturing equipment, industrial software, and systems tailored to typical scenarios in intelligent manufacturing, achieving seamless integration of design, production, and operational data; intelligent control of manufacturing equipment; and online optimization of production processes. Furthermore, these factories should carry out comprehensive optimization across the entire product lifecycle and all links of the supply chain, promoting multi-scenario, system-level intelligent applications.
Guided by the principles of “data-driven and collaborative efficiency,” Wanxiang Jinggong has built an integrated system that covers the entire product lifecycle. Through multi-level system collaboration and end-to-end data integration, it achieves refined control and dynamic optimization of production and operations.

In the R&D phase, the smart factory for high-end intelligent wheel hub bearing units deeply integrates various R&D tools. Relying on digital cloud-based design and simulation systems, it promotes collaboration between product and process design and fosters the accumulation of product model knowledge bases, significantly shortening the time cycle from design to commissioning.
In the production operation phase, a highly efficient and flexible production line can simultaneously manufacture multiple product models in mixed-mode production. By dynamically monitoring and simulating key parameters throughout the product manufacturing process, the line can precisely guide and optimize the production process, thereby establishing a closed-loop quality control system that encompasses real-time monitoring, intelligent diagnostics, and recommended alert-based corrective actions.
In the operations management phase, a unified data operations management system and the DPM digital performance tower enable production visualization, manufacturing transparency, and standardized cross-factory performance management, thereby promoting intelligent control of business and resources as well as collaboration across the industrial chain. Meanwhile, AI technologies are deeply integrated into scenarios such as intelligent production scheduling, quality inspection, quality root cause analysis, equipment failure prediction, smart energy management, and intelligent business decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency and the scientific basis of decision-making.
